Jane Messineo Lindquist (Killion) is the director of “Puppy Culture the Powerful First Twelve Weeks That Can Shape Your Puppies’ Future” as well as the author of “When Pigs Fly: Training Success With Impossible Dogs” and founder of Madcap University.


Jane has had Bull Terriers since 1982 and she and her husband, Mark Lindquist, breed Bull Terriers under the Madcap kennel name.


Her interests include dog shows, dog agility, gardening, and any cocktail that involves an infused simple syrup.

Considering the Puppy!

I can't imagine bringing home a puppy without this course! Many of the problems that are typical of new puppy ownership were easily solved by using this material for preparation. It's a work in progress but I can't imagine the disaster of not preparing!

Taking this course was our breeder's requirement, and I am SO grateful. 60% through the course, and I double up on most videos because there is so much relevant content that NOONE heretofor ever successfully got into my head. Brilliant technique taking abstract topics (i.e. behavior) and breaking them down into bite size pieces using lingo that is not jargon heavy and not patronizing either. The compassionate and loving approach to dog training fits us and in the context of the program makes so much sense. We pick up our puppy in 6 weeks and for the first time, we are looking to the next steps with confidence instead of hope. That is an amazing feeling. Thank you!!

wish I knew sooner - amazing program

I was looking everywhere for a good guide for my puppy that I brought home at 10 weeks. I was on google, watching YouTube videos, instagram, etc. There was so much information everywhere, but I was recommended Puppy Culture and With Open Arms. I wish I knew about this before I even got my puppy so that I could have gone through the materials, then gone through them again once I got her. That being said, I am so grateful for every piece of information. This made my life so much easier, and my puppy seems to be thriving.
