About

Jane Messineo Lindquist (Killion) is the director of “Puppy Culture the Powerful First Twelve Weeks That Can Shape Your Puppies’ Future” as well as the author of “When Pigs Fly: Training Success With Impossible Dogs” and founder of Madcap University.


Jane has had Bull Terriers since 1982 and she and her husband, Mark Lindquist, breed Bull Terriers under the Madcap kennel name.


Her interests include dog shows, dog agility, gardening, and any cocktail that involves an infused simple syrup.

Prepared to get our Puppy

I had been seeking out puppy culture breeders (4). Not one of them said I should get the materials and be ready to carry on the investment they have started with the puppy.
I was offered a free puppy and the breeder had not invested anything in the litter. My wife and I had red flags. So, I invited 3 local trainers to come over and talk with us. After learning about their processes, heavily correction based. I concluded that I did not want that kind of relationship with my dog. Since I had realized I needed help I turned to Jean and the puppy culture website.

Picture with the bird is her living the good life with her owner. He knew how to communicate and work with the dog. Puppy picture is at 6.5 weeks old.

WOW, WOW and WOW!

At 63, I thought I knew everything there was to know about training. Puppy Culture is such a kind, peaceful way to train a dog. I love that you DON'T yell at the dog; they are babies and don't have control of the bowels at 10 weeks. I get my puppy in 2 weeks and will rewatch as I'm training my little girl!
